What do I bring with me to the office?

  • We will need your picture ID

  • Social security card for the filer

  • If you are filing a dependent please provide a social security card for each of them

  • Proof of residence (i.e. lease, school record, etc.)

can i drop off my tax documents?

Yes we provide drop off services for our clients as well. You are more than welcome to fax 678-302-7103 and or email information in as well info@ysptaxservice.com.

can i apply for a tax refund advance?

Yes! We encourage you to apply for this advance and you could receive up to $6, 000 of your overall refund.

do i need my w-2 to file?

Yes! Please make sure you have a W-2 for each employer at the time of filing to ensure you receive the most on your return that you are entitled to. Please ensure you have any additional records for self-employed (i.e. printed documents from your record keeping system, spreadsheet of expenses, etc.).

Addditonal information:

  • Please ensure you have all necessary documents ready. Should you need to print out a W-2 or documents please make the receptionist aware. We will be able to assist you with obtaining these items before you see your preparer.

  • Your Advanced Child Tax Credit (CTC) information should be available on www.irs.gov. If you have not set up an account please do so as soon as possible to obtain an accurate record of this information. If you did not file with our office you will also be able to obtain a transcript of your previous tax year.

  • The IRS will begin issuing Letter 6475, Your Third Economic Impact Payment, to EIP recipients in late January. This letter will help Economic Impact Payment recipients determine if they are entitled to and should claim the recovery rebate credit on their 2021 tax returns when they file in 2022.

  • To help taxpayers reconcile and receive all the 2021 child tax credits to which they are entitled, the IRS started sending Letter 6419, 2021 advance CTC, in late December 2021 and will continue into January. This letter includes the total amount of advance child tax credit payments taxpayers received in 2021 and the number of qualifying children used to calculate the advance payments. People should keep this and any other IRS letters about advance child tax credit payments with their tax records.

  • Information about Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, including recent updates, related forms and instructions on how to file. Form 1095-A is used to report certain information to the IRS about individuals who enroll in a qualified health plan through the Marketplace.
